Calculation expressions are obtained and simulation modeling of the process of forming test tasks for students is carried out. It is based on the prediction of the facility functional safety and dependability and the risk-oriented facility management. The article describes an approach to assessing the risks of hazardous facility failures using the latest digital data processing methods. Calculation expressions are obtained and simulation modeling of the process of forming test tasks for students is carried out. The results of calculations and simulation modeling are given, estimates of a random discrete value are obtained, defined as the number of tests at which information about the content of all questions in test tasks becomes known to all students. The implementation of this approach will help set maintenance objectives and contribute to the efficient use of resources and the reduction of railway facility managers\u2019 expenditures.
