COPYRIGHT POLICY

All manuscripts published under JITA’s Copyright Policy are subject to a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. This policy aims to ensure that all publications maintain a high level of originality and provide authors with significant freedom.

JITA acknowledges and agrees that the author retains the copyright to the work submitted for publication, and is allowed:

  • to republish the part or whole manuscript, as long as JITA is correctly cited as the source of the first publication of the manuscript,
  • to prepare derivative works from the manuscript,
  • to apply all other proprietary rights to the manuscript(such as patents); and
  • to authorize others to make any use of the published manuscript.

 

Users are allowed to copy, use, distribute, transmit and publicly display the manuscript, providing they correctly cite JITA as the source of the first publication. Additionally, users may create and distribute derivative works in any medium for any responsible purpose, as long as the credits are given to the author and JITA is cited as the source of the first publication of the manuscript.

The author assigns all rights to JITA, including the right to publish the manuscript in whole or in part, in various formats such as hard copy or electronic copy, and all forms of media, both now and in the future. Furthermore, JITA has the right to republish, distribute, promote, publicly perform and display the manuscript at any time in all projects in where JITA is involved.

The views and opinions expressed in the manuscript are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of JITA. JITA is not responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in the published manuscript. Additionally, JITA is not liable for any damage or injury to persons or property arising from using any materials, instructions, methods, or ideas from the manuscript.

The corresponding author by accepting the Copyright Agreement:

  • warrants that are the author and have the power and authority to make and execute this assignment,
  • affirms that, for jointly authored manuscript, is empowered to accept the Copyright Agreement on behalf of all authors,
  • warrants originality of the manuscript, not being previously published and not currently under consideration for publication by any other entity,
  • affirms that possesses permission(s) for all previously published and/or copyrighted material contained in the manuscript (to the extent that the chapter incorporates text, passages, figures, data or other material from the work of others), and these can be obtained during the publishing process and delivered before the publication; and
  • agrees to indemnify JITA and Publisher against all losses, costs and expenses arising from claims made by other parties due to the exceptional circumstance that the author has breached any terms, conditions and/or warranties concerning the authorship of the chapter (the whole or parts of it), the rights to publish the chapter or the infringement of any third party’s rights.

 

If the author has created the manuscript as part of their official duties as an employee or officer of a government agency, public institution, or company, and if the copyrights belong to the respective agency, institution, or company, JITA will accept their terms and conditions, provided they are not in conflict with JITA’s Copyright Policy. In cases of conflicting terms and conditions, the more restrictive conditions will take precedence.”If the author has prepared the manuscript as part of official duties as an employee or officer of a Government agency, public institution or company and has copyrights that belong to the Government agency, public institution, or company, JITA agrees to accept their terms and conditions as long as they are not in conflict with JITA’s Copyright Policy. The more restrictive conditions will prevail.
